Not every tired bedroom needs knocking back to brick. Sometimes it does. More often, the paint’s fine and the real problem is underneath it: storage that ran out years ago, a layout that never quite worked, or finishes that have simply had enough. DGR Homes works with homeowners across London to sort out exactly which of those problems you’ve actually got, then fix it properly, so the room works day to day and not just in a photo.

What we do

Bedroom renovation. We rework the layout, replace flooring, sort out the wiring, fit new storage, whatever the room needs. One job, one team, in the right order, not five separate trades turning up whenever suits them.

Repairs and existing bedroom work. Old plaster, damp patches, uneven walls, wiring that predates half your appliances. Decorating won’t touch any of that. We will, before it becomes a bigger problem than it needs to be.

Interior design. Layout, storage, light, materials, colour, these all pull in different directions if you plan them separately. We work through them together so the room ends up designed around how you’ll actually use it.

Fitted storage and wardrobes. Built to your room, not a catalogue size. Alcoves, sloped ceilings, that dead corner nobody’s used properly since you moved in, all of it gets put to work.

Flooring and finishes. Carpet, if comfort matters or engineered wood or laminate if you want to avoid daily vacuuming. Skirting, architraves and door finishes are selected together with the floor covering, not chosen after the fact. 

Lighting and layout. A single ceiling light and two lamps on extension leads isn’t lighting a bedroom properly. We plan general light, task light and something softer for the evening around where the bed and wardrobes actually go.

Bedrooms are one part of what we do. We also take on bespoke kitchens and loft conversions, so if this room is one piece of a bigger project, that’s not a problem.

Why bother with a renovation company instead of doing it trade by trade

You can absolutely book an electrician, then a plasterer, then a flooring fitter, then a decorator, and plenty of people do exactly that for smaller jobs. It gets harder to manage once the job gets bigger. Wiring has to happen before plastering. Plastering before flooring. Get that order wrong and you’re paying someone to redo work, or worse, waiting three weeks for the next trade to have a gap in their diary. One team removes that headache and means one person is answerable for how the whole room turns out, not four people each blaming the last one.
